Hi , I’m Shona Campbell

I am a Women's Reproductive Health Expert.

BSc (Hons) Lic.Ac.BACc.AFN
Fertility Support Trained

I am lucky to live on the south coast in the beautiful town of Shoreham by Sea. My loves are spending time with my family, walking our cheeky cavapoo dog, interior design, dressmaking, camping, travel, dancing and connection time with gorgeous friends.

I am passionate about personal development, and take a huge interest in exploring many holistic ideas and approaches to calm living, health, wellness and happiness.

I love my acupuncture practice, and I am really enjoying being in service to healing, and witness to the amazing positive effects of this ancient art and science.

Training

I came to studying Acupuncture after experiencing its incredible benefits first hand. A course of treatments improved my fertility, and I had a successful pregnancy as a result. I also had the added benefits of experiencing an abundance of energy, restorative sleep, and calm and grounded emotional outlook, during what could have been a very stressful time.

A few years later, I decided to study at the prestigious International College of Oriental Medicine, due to its outstanding reputation, and wonderful community feel. I graduated from the college, after studying for a 3 year BSc Honours degree in Classical Chinese Acupuncture, in affiliation with Greenwich University.

The course allowed me to have the required 3000 hours of study time to gain membership to the British Acupuncture Council, and I abide by their codes of conduct, and safety procedures.

My studies incorporated 5 element theory, TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) theory, and Stems and Branches theory. Treating issues related to women’s reproductive health, encompassing balancing the monthly cycle, fertility, pregnancy and birth preparation, has always been a passion of mine.

Post Graduate Study

Very soon after I graduated, I undertook postgraduate study in Acupuncture to support Fertility, for use as an adjunct therapy to assisted reproduction in the Western setting, as well as a standalone treatment.

This allowed me to become a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network , which requires a commitment to ongoing education and study in this field, and keeping up to date with current research and practices.

I then undertook the Advanced Fertility Diploma run by Naava Carman which is the worldwide Gold standard of Fertility acupuncture, and this allowed me to become a Fertility Expert.

I am part of a community which support and educates and I now have a network of Consultants, Herbalists, Naturopaths, Endocrinologists and Sonographers to refer to. I undergo ongoing training to remain part of this network.

Previously

My previous role was as a Doula, supporting women through pregnancy and the postnatal period, providing emotional and practical support to new mothers and families. I was also a Veterinary Nurse in a previous role, and was privileged to witness Acupuncture’s tangible effects on animals, when used in Veterinary Medicine.
